Direct Primary Care is a membership based approach to primary care. Members pay Wellness Pointe directly for access to the primary care services included in their membership rather than having each office visit billed to health insurance.

No. Direct Primary Care is not health insurance and does not replace insurance coverage. It is designed to provide accessible, relationship focused primary care. Many members maintain separate insurance coverage for emergencies, hospital care, specialist care and services outside Wellness Pointe.

Your Direct Primary Care membership does not prevent you from using insurance for prescriptions, imaging, laboratory testing, specialist care or other outside services. Coverage varies by plan. Contact your insurance carrier to confirm coverage, network requirements and your financial responsibility.

Wellness Pointe does not bill health insurance for Direct Primary Care membership or included primary care visits. This allows us to offer a more direct and transparent approach to care. Services outside the membership will be discussed with you before they are provided.

Eligibility can depend on current federal requirements and the terms of your individual plan. Please contact your HSA or FSA administrator or tax professional before using those funds for membership payments.

Direct Primary Care can benefit people who want consistent access to preventive care, routine visits, recommended screenings and a provider who understands their health history. Your care is personalized according to your individual needs.
