frequently asked questions

your questions answered here

Will I benefit from Wellness Pointe if I don’t require frequent medical attention?

Absolutely. Our services cater to everyone, from routine check-ups, recommended screenings such as gynecological exams and testing to managing chronic conditions and preventive care. We tailor our approach to enhance your overall well-being and quality of life, ensuring that every visit is thorough, relaxed, and focused on your specific health needs.

Does Wellness Pointe accept health insurance?

No, we do not accept health insurance. Our direct care model allows us to offer transparent pricing, discounted pricing on labs and procedures such as biopsies, pap smears, point of care testing such as urine screens, rapid flu and strep testing.

Can I still use my insurance for medications, tests, and specialist referrals?

Most insurance plans will cover prescriptions, labs, tests, and honor referrals. Essentially, everything that occurs outside of our practice operates in the same manner as you are accustomed to. However, the monthly membership fee operates differently. Currently, insurance companies do not reimburse this cost, so it remains an out-of-pocket expense.

Can I pay for my membership utilizing a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?

Yes, you can pay for your membership using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Please check with your HSA or FSA provider to confirm specific eligibility. We are able to provide a letter of medical necessity if this is something your specific plan requires.

Are there any additional fees or hidden costs associated with Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care operates on a transparent pricing model. There are no additional co-pays or deductibles for office visits.  Any additional services not covered by the subscription fee will be communicated in advance.

Is Direct Primary Care suitable for individuals with pre-existing medical conditions or complex healthcare needs?
