Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges
**Effective date: September 17, 2026**
You have the right to receive a **Good Faith Estimate** explaining how much your healthcare may cost.
Under federal law, healthcare providers generally must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance to pay for care, an estimate of the expected charges for scheduled healthcare items and services.
Your Rights
- You may ask Wellness Pointe for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an item or service.
- If you schedule an item or service at least three business days in advance, you are generally entitled to receive a written Good Faith Estimate within the timeframe required by law.
- The estimate should include the expected charges for the primary item or service and other items or services reasonably expected to be provided as part of the scheduled care.
- The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to obtain the listed services from Wellness Pointe.
Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate and any bills you receive.
If a bill from a provider or facility is at least **$400 more** than the amount shown on that provider’s or facility’s Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to use the federal patient-provider dispute-resolution process.
